Este Centro de Derechos Humanos manifiesta su profunda indignación ante el asesinato violento de Juan Vázquez Guzmán, Coordinador General de La Otra Campaña de Adherentes a la Sexta Declaración de La Selva Lacandona del EZLN (en adelante Adherentes a la Sexta); hecho criminal que sucedió días previos a sostener una reunión regional con autoridades, Adherentes a la Sexta, del ejido de San Sebastián Bachajón (SSB) para definir acciones en defensa del territorio y por la liberación de sus presos políticos.

Fallece el padre Barón y con él parte de la lucha por los DH en la Huasteca

México, D.F. a 2 de mayo de 2013 (Cencos).-El pasado 26 de abril falleció en Guadalajara el sacerdote José Barón Larios, quien, al lado del sacerdote Samuel Mora Castillo y el presbítero Pablo Hernández Clemente, formaron en la decada de 1970 el Equipo Pastoral Atlapexco, dedicandose a la defensa de los derechos humanos y apoyaron la defensa de las tierras de las comunidades indígenas de la Huasteca.

La inauguración del Memorial de las Víctimas de la Violencia, que realizará el 5 de abril de 2013 a las 11 horas el secretario de Gobernación, Miguel Ángel Osorio Chong, no le aporta nada a las personas que han sufrido el asesinato o la desa­parición de un ser querido, pues lo que ellas necesitan es acceso a la justicia y no un montón de piedras realizado en su nombre, señalaron integrantes de organizaciones sociales.

El 23 de abril, 23 miembros del Congreso estadounidense enviaron una carta al Secretario de Estado, John Kerry, expresando su preocupación por la persistencia de graves violaciones de derechos humanos en México, y pidiendo que el gobierno de Barack Obama priorice la defensa de los derechos humanos en la agenda bilateral México-Estados Unidos. La carta bipartidista patrocinada por los congresistas James Moran (Demócrata de Virginia) y Ted Poe (Republicano de Texas) se produce sólo una semana antes que el Presidente Obama viaje a México para reunirse con el presidente de México, Enrique Peña Nieto.

Es valido iniciar con la interrogante planteada por Maurice Halbwachs (1950), quien plantea si realmente es posible pensar la existencia de una memoria sin puntos de referencia y de un contexto histórico colectivo sin memoria. En este sentido ¿Cómo se crea memoria ante la muerte y se generan símbolos para recordar a los Detenidos Desaparecidos? ¿Cómo esos rituales cargados de marcas personales se traspasan y son validados socialmente? Símbolos que no solo quedan en el ritual, sino que provocan cambios en leyes, imponen juicios y presionan frente a la idea que la muerte, el asesinato y la desaparición tienen un límite, a la vez que exigen respuestas.

Mientras que en el Distrito Federal (DF) este viernes fue inaugurado el memorial para desaparecidos, autoridades de distintos puntos del país analizan la posibilidad de construir dos memoriales más que servirán para recordar a los desaparecidos. Uno de los proyectos en gestión estará ubicado en Tijuana.

Hoy 10 de abril aniversario de la muerte de Zapata, teniendo como contexto una crisis económica, la inseguridad y violencia en que transcurre la vida cotidiana, que repercute ya en miles de familias de nuestro país; generando además criminalización de las víctimas y la persecución, desaparición y muchas veces el asesinato de luchador@s sociales, defensores de los derechos humanos y migrantes; los Convocantes y simpatizantes de este premio nos hemos propuesto a través del mismo Reconocer, Apoyar, Difundir y promover la Solidaridad con quienes lo reciben tanto en la categoría grupal como en la categoría individual.
